Launch Week! April 2 - April 6.

It's time for a Moral Transformation!

Public Theology and Public Policy: The Pathway to a Third Reconstruction for the Healing of the Nation.

You’re Invited!

We welcome you to Yale Divinity School to celebrate the establishment of the historic Center for Public Theology and Public Policy.

Following over 30 years of ongoing public ministry, Bishop William J. Barber II, DMin, joined the faculty at Yale and created the Center for Public Theology and Public Policy. The Center's mission is to prepare a new generation of moral leaders to be active participants in creating a just society using the academic, practical, and research tools of past and present social justice movements. Our work is built on the fundamental idea that theology is not an isolated practice and that at its very core is the obligation to address the issues that adversely impact people.

From April 2 - April 6, the Center will collaborate with partners across Yale to host a series of powerful events to mark and launch this historic work. You are invited to join this week-long celebration. The events will bring together students, scholars, advocates, activists, economists, lawyers, and the community, to learn more about the Center's vision and upcoming work.

On April 5, 2023, learn more about the Center's mission and hear from scholars, economists, and impacted people as they examine the public policy issues of living wages and healthcare and offer a moral framework as a guide for cultivating solutions to these issues. The gathering will be followed by a reception. All attendees are welcome to join.

Space is limited. Please RSVP and plan to arrive early.
